I think he has exceptional arm talent, McCarthy said. What we’re asking him to do is, particularly the footwork and just how he fits the scheme, and how he operates is brand new to him. That always excites me, because when you see that guy has no experience or background but has the ability, to me that’s an opportunity for a lot of growth. So I think he has a bright future.
He’s hitting .327 with two homers and a .357 on-base percentage in 15 games and 52 at-bats mostly from the No. 9 spot in the lineup.

What more can you say?

If there’s anyone coaching at the professional ranks today who knows how to slowly infuse a ridiculously athletic, somewhat raw signal-caller into an NFL offense, it’s Roman, the Ravens’ current assistant head coach.
Before Kaepernick took over the 49ers starting job in 2012 after Alex Smith was injured against the Rams a gig the former Nevada star wouldn’t give back to Smith in San Francisco Kaepernick was used as a gadget player in Roman’s attack.
